Adventureworks database not installed.

description

Hi, I am new to sql server 2008. I am trying to get started on adventureworks installation for x64. I don't know where to start. I have downloaded all the msi files relate to x64. When looking in Sql server management studio, I can not see the adventure works database. How dow I install it?

Files I have already installed (and in the order shown):
SqlServerSamples_x64
AdventureWorks2008_x64
AdventureWorksDW2008_x64
AdventureWorks2008DBScripts_x64

Please see http://www.codeplex.com/MSFTDBProdSamples/Wiki/View.aspx?title=AW2008Details for installation instructions for AW2008 and http://www.codeplex.com/MSFTDBProdSamples/Wiki/View.aspx?title=AWDW2008Details for AWDW2008. By default the sample code installed by SqlServerSamples is installed at c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Samples. By default the scripts installed by AdventureWorks2008DBScripts are installed to c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Tools\Samples. If you want to execute the scripts, the AWDB2008 and AWDWDB2008 script directories contain data files which need to be copied or moved to c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server_InstanceDirectoryName_\Data_DatabaseName_ where InstanceDirectoryName is something like MSSQL10.MSSQLSERVER (by default) and DatabaseName is either awdb2008 or awdwdb2008.
