AdventureWorks2008DW views for Data Mining are Empty

Using Adventure Works DW besides Training kit 70-448 (Business intelligence Development and maintenance by Erik Veeman) all seems to work fine 'till Chapter 9. (page 384 item number 4)
 
when trying to select any of the views under the AdventureWorksDW2008 I get no data returned on any of them. The views (vTargetMail, vTimeSeries, vAssocSeqOrders, and vAssocSeqLineItems) are properly created in the database but no data is shown. So, at this point I'm unable to continue.
 
Does anyone else see this? any solution to continue studying?

I have the same problem with the 2008R2 examples download.
Work-around is to work with the 2008 examples download. That's the version that is used in the book.
