AdventureWorks2008R2_NovemberCTP.exe does not work

description

When running this setup, after I check the "I Accept the licence terms" check box, and click the "Next" button, the next screen pops up with
"A fatal error occurred during installation. Details:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
 
What's going on?
Is this a joke, or does it just not work on a windows 7 64bit PC?

Same is repro to me on Windows Server 2008 R2

I have exactly the same error
Any fix available ?
My system : Win 7 x64

I Tried :
  • Unblock File
  • Compatibility mode
  • Get the extracted files, And directly launch DabaseInstaller.exe (compatibility enabled or not)
Any help is welcome :)

I have the same problem on a Vista 64-bit system. The installation crashes.
